In-person session accessibility
We understand how important it is to offer inclusive and accessible spaces. Several of our practitioners are disabled or chronically ill as are many of the people we work with so we already have many supports in place. We continue to prioritise making our services even more accessible and are open to all feedback and take access requests seriously.
The space has wheelchair access and disabled toilets in the main building
The therapy room has comfortable and wide seating for those in larger bodies
The room is a low-sensory space for those with sound, smell and light sensitivities (further adjustments can be made on request)
We wear face masks and have spare masks on hand to reduce the spread of covid, flu and colds
The room is well ventilated and windows can be opened
We can organise Deaf Interpreters for sessions
We can send session summaries for those with executive function challenges or who find it hard to remember the topics discussed
ACCESSIBILITY UPDATE: the main concrete footpath outside the building is cracked from tree roots and may be a tripping hazard. It is no-longer accessible for power chairs and some wheelchairs. Access is still possible through the main building and out via the waiting room. There is a small lip on the entrance to the therapy space, we are using a ramp to address this and longer term options are currently being looked into.
